After being displaced by the full-scale war in Ukraine, the children and caregivers of the “Svitanok” Small Group Home managed to relocate together and continue their work in safety. Originally founded in Lysychansk by the city’s military administration, the home now operates in a peaceful region of Ukraine, offering stability and support to children who have lost both family and home.
“Svitanok” cares for orphans and children deprived of parental care, including children with disabilities and teenagers. Its goal is to create a stable, family-like space where each child can regain confidence, learn essential life skills, and prepare for an independent future. The staff offer hands-on care and guidance — from teaching how to cook and manage personal finances to simply being there through long nights without electricity.
You can follow updates from the home on their Facebook page, where they share news about their work, community life, and ongoing needs.
Due to ongoing missile attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, power outages are a constant challenge. A portable EcoFlow power station was urgently needed to keep lights on, laptops running, and phones charged — so the children could continue their studies, stay in touch with friends, and maintain a sense of normal life.
When it comes to changing a child’s life, every donation counts. Thank you to each and every donor who chose to give — your support truly made this possible!
