The Maslyuk family is doing everything they can to keep daily life going under wartime pressure. The mother works at a hospital that treats wounded soldiers, helping restore documents—important work with modest pay. The household also cares for an elderly grandmother who needs ongoing attention and a special diet, which takes time and resources every day.
Income collapsed after the full-scale invasion. The father lost stable employment and faces health issues that limit work, leaving little margin for essentials. The children were expected to keep up with school without the equipment and setup needed for homework and lessons.
What Ukraine Power Did
Ukraine Power provided targeted, practical support to stabilize home life and keep schooling on track. The assistance reduced the daily workload, helped manage elder care, and made study at home more reliable during the war.
From their letter of thanks
At a time when it feels like the world is falling apart and sometimes we barely have the strength for everyday tasks — your help has become a true ray of light. Thanks to you, our daughters now have the opportunity to study fully: to complete school assignments and connect to online lessons. In today’s world, this is the foundation of their future, and we are endlessly grateful that we now have this possibility.
May the kindness you give to the world return to you many times over.
